Salford Community Park - Tylersport
Built largely from grant money, volunteer and Township labor, this 4-acre park on woods and fields leased from the Tylersport Volunteer Fire Co., has none of the noise of the Ridge Road traffic nearby. It has:
1/3-mile grit walking/jogging/exercise trail
Playground equipment
Shade pavilion with picnic table
Open space for field game
Branchwood Park - Morwood
This 27-acre park on Camp Road is owned and supported equally by Salford and Franconia Townships. It has:
Four (4) tennis courts
Lighted basketball court
2 picnic pavilions
Small paved multi-use court
Play equipment
Baseball field
Horseback riding on designated trail
Public fishing
Open space for field games
Hand pump for water
Pin Oak Drive
This small parcel is primarily a neighborhood open space area deeded to Salford Township. Its minimal development includes a baseball backstop, a picnic table, and a swing set.
Open Space
The Township has been successful in purchasing a 21.6-acre parcel of open space known as the Copper Mine Creek Preservation Area, bound by Hill Road and the North Branch of the Ridge Valley Creek.
Another acquisition is the 104-acre White's Mill property, which is basically under developed and expected to remain so. Lake fishing is permitted as well as visits to enjoy nature.
